MAYA PLASTIC SENDIRIAN BERHAD, one of the oldest plastic factory in Johore Bahru was established in the year 1969 at the same location at 7, Jalan Kilang, Dato Onn Industrial Estate, 80350 Johore Bahru, Johore, Malaysia. It was the masterplan and vision of our Managing Director Mr YF CHANG who first produced metal buckets in Singapore. With the changing trend from metal buckets to plastic pails, MAYA PLASTIC was expanded to produced household utensil for the domestic markets. Thereafter, PP-mattresses, HDPE and LHPE shopping bags were added into the production lines. And as demands for these items changed, the manufacturing of these items were phased out and located to other countries.

In the eighties, because of the influx of many foreign companies into Johore, the injection moulding section saw a tremendous growth. Because of our high standard and quality of moulding techniques, MAYA PLASTIC grew in both demand and sales volumes. We went into 3 joint ventures with our reliable customers into both local and overseas markets.

In the year 1996, the above partners with the addition of WETA TRADING, TAIWAN started a joint venture company into CHINA in Huiyang Province to produce Siphon Pumps for mass productions. The future purpose is to tap into the vast China domestic market.

In the year 1993, MAYA PLASTIC has a joint venture with SHACHIHATA INC, JAPAN to form SHACHIHATA (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD in Johore Bahru to manufacture stationery products under the well-known brand ARTLINE.

MAYA PLASTIC SDN BHD has a sdedicated staff and workers who are with us from the beginning of our first operation. Improving our skills and techniques have always been our hidden agenda and honesty with our quality is our principal of lives in our company.
